Trade Marlen S10 pedal steel for acoustic guitar

Post by Bob Carlucci »

4+4, single frame, pull/release.. 710 pickup with 3 way switch.. GREAT playing super soft action, hasn't had to be tuned up in a year or more, and the strings are 4 years old, and still haven't broken one... Its a pro model in good condition, natural finish, looks like a Sho bud ProI.. No issues, just a great playing little guitar.. Its gotta be worth $1000 or close to it... Looking for a good acoustic guitar of equal value.. NO Asian guitars please...

If there is any serious interest or interesting offers, I will post detailed undercarriage photos... bob

Some interest, but to be honest guys, at this point in my life, can't use, electrics, amps, etc,, Even got a great offer for a banjo, but just can't use it... I have it sold already if I decide to go that route, but really would prefer an equal value acoustic guitar.. Still available for trade at this point. bob

A rare, and valuable Marlen model, certainly, Bob. Were you fishing for a Taylor, perhaps..
..same type like another Bob has posted in the "others" ?? I have one similar. Just not sunburst, fancy inlays, and such. It's a CE but not sure the #. Or is your quest for Martin. Gibson, Gretsch? * My son took the CE to church awhile back. Now is idle in his closet.
PM my E..if you still have wiggle room. JZ

* not Gretsch, Guild.

I have had an offer for a new Taylor 214 CE which is actually a fair offer... However I just bought a good A/E cutaway guitar. {PRS Angelus SE}.
Looking more for a USA built Guild , Martin,Gibson, non cutaway Taylor thats USA built, of equal value or close. Something thats worth what the steel is.. Most offers I got were for $500 -700 guitars, and I am not an idiot.. I have tried this before and it never works out.. We all know that its best to sell gear for the best price you can get, and simply buy what you want .. With cash in hand you are always in the strongest bargaining position.. Oh well, it is what it is,, I just enjoy the hunt really... bob

I am a pretty big fan of Marlens, having owned several. Would love to own this one, but I can't let go of my baby...Taylor GS. I also own a 615ce, but it is worth a bit more than $1000...

Dixon acoustic guitar from Steve Black

Post by Steven Black »

I have an early 71 Dixon acoustic plays like a Martin and sounds like a Martin not sure if I want to part from it yet, I played a lot of bluegrass music with it, it still looks new today, I can send pictures later, was bought from Sonny's guitar shop here in Columbus Ohio.

The guitar has spruce top rosewood side and back, only problem it is made in Japan, but tone is unbelieveable, and looks as well, neck is narrow but strong, good feel for fast licks, has new case.
