Hopefully others will share photos of their Home Built Steel Guitar Consoles.

Here is mine...well, I did not build it, I bought it off the forum. It is a little too much for me ATM, so I went back to my 6 string. Unfortunately it is just sitting here even tho it rocks in C6.

The VOX pedal board work GREAT with it! 8)

Built this one nearly 40 years ago to see if I could learn the grips for ten string pedal steel,
has a longer scale length 25" + and made from solid mahogany, has " a tone of it's own "
and everlasting sustain. Downside is, it weighs a ton, wobbles a bit on its 4 legs, but I do the same on two!
Will get it out again soon and give it new strings, and decide if It's a keeper or just one of the herd!

Built this and then bought a pedal steel a couple of years later so it's been in the case for years!

I learned to play before pedals came along, but when the pedals showed up I followed along. Still the non pedal holds a special place for me. I had gotten used to the string spacing on the pedal steel , so when I wanted to come up with a non-pedal console I decied to make one to my liking. I came up with a nine string triple neck, which I have loved over the years. It's solid and sounds as good or batter than anything I have compared it to, including the Fenders.
