With Fran's passing there was some "wait a bit" going on, quite understandable under the circumstances. Apparently the family or heirs are no longer going to carry on selling the material. If someone else stepped in, I have not heard of it.

I was hoping to buy a supply of their picks but I guess that's not looking too likely now. :(

I don't know, Jim. Just saying that as a "maybe", based on Gary's report of the web site being gone. Image

Talked to Wanda Cooper at Billy Coopers Steel Guitar Shop. She was telling me about a week ago that their grand daughter was going to continue the business. (Selling material)

The intention was to keep it going. I realize this thread began a few months ago, but there's other contact info in it:

Jeffran Site UNDERGOING UPDATE

Post by Melissa Greer »

Hi All,
I apologize for the inconvenience, however the website for JEFFRAN MUSIC (Jeffran.com) Will be undergoing updates and maintenance in order to provide the most up to date catalog of Jeffran Material as well as provide online purchases as well. The host site has not displayed this information correctly, this is to be updated shortly. Until the new site is launched, please feel free to contact me via email at JeffranMusic@gmail.com or by phone at 615-470-5224 OR 615-879-4911. Jeffran Material will continue to be provided to the Steel Guitar Community as long as there are students looking to learn from the late, great Jeff Newman. I will provide our latest catalog by email or I can also send a paper catalog to your mailing address. Thanks so much everyone!

God Bless!!

Good for you Melissa, I'm sure Jeff and Fran are smiling at you for keeping their lifes' work going. All of that material is as relevant today as when it was new.
I always make my customers aware of that material when they buy a new guitar and ask how to learn to play it.

Doug, I totally agree with you. Jeff's material is just as relevant now as it was then. I think the Chord Dictionary video that teaches you where to find nearly any chord you want to play with 3 pedals and 3 knee levers would be one of the first any starting player would need. Techniques and advice by the ton, just cannot go wrong here.

Best wishes always Melissa!

Just a bump on this thread to say I emailed Melissa, got a prompt friendly reply and made a purchase. So I'll confirm they are still very much in business. Image
