The video clip is from 'Country Style USA' from the '50s.
I can name two of the four band members.... Shorty Lavender on fiddle and Howard Rhoton on guitar (I didn't need their help for those two)....but who are the steeler and the bass player?
It is interesting that the steel break is almost a copy of the middle break of a Capitol recording from the '50s that I have by 'west-coaster' Skeets McDonald (Don't Push Me Too Far) that I always thought was played by Ralph Mooney. Any help?

That film looks like mid 1950s.
Hawk recorded that tune in the 40s and again in the 50s.
The 1956 studio version had Bob Moore on bass and Bob Foster on steel. That certainly isn't Moore in the film and likely not Foster either. The guy in the film looks like he's in his 20s somewhere, probably too young for Foster in the mid 50s and only slightly resembles him.
Dunno. Dunno on bass player either.

The bass player is Earl White. Earl was a fiddle player and played for the square dancers on the Opry for years until his death a while back.
