WTB Carb style clips

Post by Larry Ravlin »

Does anybody have some of the Carburetor style clips for the rod ends on a Super pro?

I may.

What do they look like?

I have lots of little Sho-Bud parts and have no idea what models they are for.

Are these the coil springs with the dog leg? The clip pressed from flat steel? Something else?

These are for the super pro and go on the rod ends to hold the rods on the brackets.

I saw some on eBay, but I don't know the sizes etc. Also www.dormanproducts carries linkage clips in both l & r hand but there again, I can't say about the sizes.

The ones I saw at AutoZone were in an assortment pack and there might have been one in there that will work on a steel.

I think the spring type retainers from www.psg.parts.com will work on 'Bud's, but you may be looking for the original stuff.

This is what I have. I must have given the others away as I cannot find them in the Sho-Bud parts drawers.

I would look at an auto parts store, they used them on carburetor linkage.
How many people remember those?

I think the dog-leg on those is too much, it will interfere with the rod/bracket on the side of it.
