Hello every one ,
Just sorta opening a dialogue among my forumites to see
if any one would want a low cost easy project to Retro-Fit their Rogue to 22.5 scale in an afternoon with minimal tools.
I Retro-Fit-ed mine in 2 hours of work, 4 hours of coffee and talking. My Cost was less than 50 bucks.
All I used was my Battery Drill some bits and 5 new stainless steel screws I got from ACE.
Lettuce know if you think it looks clean.

These are most of the steps of the Retro-Fit
Remove the Bridge hardware , bag the saddles screws springs. Wipe debris under the plate.
Set The Plate all the way back , tape at end of guitar.
ReCycle the 2 large screws to fill their original holes for a visual.
Get the New # 6X3/4 and #4 X 3/4 screws and set the plate at the end edge.
Set the Bridge as far back as possible.
Set the Nut at 22.5"
Peel N Stick FretBaord.
Presto -- 22.5 Scale - Sounds and plays like a high cost professional guitar.

Thanks Bill, The Brass Bar really does make for a real deal tone and sustain.
Of course if someone wants to use aluminum or other metal, and for that matter any thickness too.
The Width is there to take wide 3/8 nut and wider .390 bridge - I like 3/8 Bridge and 11/32 nut on mine same as my 8 String set up.
Here is a quick GoPro my wife shot with my little 5 watt SKB -6.5 amp"<<Click<<

I had thought of doing this same thing, but didn't think of utilizing the existing part as you did...great idea. This is really not a bad guitar and has potential considering the cost...I think I may do this one. I can't stand the 20" scale.
GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. Behringer Reverb Pedal.

RetroFit
The Rouge is actually 21 scale, our Nut unit only can get you a much higher steel tone , simply dump the molded plastic nut and drop in the "RetroFit" and re set the bridge saddles.
Going the full nut and bridge route is the ticket to bring a Rouge up to speed. + you can go 22.5 with little effort.
Same Deal on one of those SX Junkers, we have the nut and bridge RetrFit parts , and we have a Full Bridge String Receiver , to quickly add and we sell peel n stick fret boards in all sorts of scales if the SX 22.75 doesn't work for some one.

George,
Great idea. I have two Rogue type lap steels and I used your brass angle nut material to replace the molded plastic originals. This is the #1 mod you should do to your Rouge. I widen the string spacing at the nut to match the bridge.
The next mod you should do is to change the pickups. I replaced mine with DiMarzio silent single coil types.
Whether you keep the 21" scale or stretch it to 22.5 is a personal choice. I'm fine with the 21" scale.
It's great to have choices when upgrading these inexpensive lap steel guitars.
