I was driving in this morning, and on our local Americana station in Dallas (KHYI 95.3) they played a cut off Merle's new CD due to release mid-November. Wow. I posted this in non-pedel because the song I heard was really cool non-pedal. I assume Norm was playing it. I have headr Merle was going to strip down this project by recording live studio, no effects, no layering, overdubbing, etc., to try and get the old sound. This may well be his last project. I know he's been talking about retiring.
Can anyone tell me more about this project?
Thanks

I heard that Merle used Norm Stephens (Lefty Frizzell's old guitarist) on the sessions, so it should be an interesting album!
