I attended a Vince Gill concert last night and got to meet Paul Franklin. Vince covered "Together Again" and when Paul played the steel behind it, man I was in awe. Afterward, I was able to talk with him and pick his brain about playing the steel. Down in South Ga, we don't get that kind of opportunity often. Paul is a great guy and kind too.

Pretty neat experience for you, Joshua! Congrats, and nice pictures too.
Looks like Glenn Worf on bass? |

An awesome experience for you, no doubt. One day I would love to meet Paul Franklin also. I try to copy some of his licks and runs, but for some reason, I just don't sound anything like Paul Franklin, hehe. |

I play non-pedal A6. He told me he started out on non-pedal and used many of the nuances from it in his pedal steel playing. I watched him do bar slants and everything while he played. I would have loved to have stood over his shoulder, but I did what I could. |

I just bought Paul's & Vince's album "Bakersfield". Well worth it. If you don't have it, get it ! _________________ Tony
