That is a real treat. I used to listen to Tex Williams' radio broadcasts from the Riverside Rancho when the show was on the network.
I always admired Wayne Burdick, but living on the East Coast did not hear much of his work.
The Western Caravan group was all outstanding musicians.

| Thanks for posting this. I had never heard of Dickie Phillips. Before Jeff Healey and Stanley Jordan, I thought Thumbs Carlisle was the only famous picker to play standard 6 string like this. Wonder if there were any others? And, I wonder if the notion to play this way was inspired by Hawaiian lap-steel style. |

Love that. The sharp 1 or flat 2 chord(whatever one might call it) works somehow.
Looks live not lip synched to me. When the rhythm player moves closer to Tex you hear his strumming up more in the mix.
