I predict that the quarterly meeting will show continued RISGA growth, with fun for all the members. Congratulations to President Jim Rice for his hard work producing a nice newsletter. Also, it takes strong supporting officers like Vice President Jo Vierra, Secretary Peter Hart, and Treasurer Roger Trahan to make it work. |

Thanks for the kind words regarding the officers, Manny. But it's everyone in the club who make it so great - love to see and hear you all play and add your own special interpretations. It's like having a party every 3 months!
Remember this meeting is "Bring a friend or past member". I'm hoping Dean C will have his ShoBud all ready to go so we can help him get started.
Plus Roger will be teaching us the beginning of Pedal Patter don't forget to bring your tab from the newsletter. _________________ RISGA President: GFI SD-10, 1969 Emmmons D-10, Nashville 112, Hilton pedal |

BUMPING UP! I don`t want to go off topic here, but congratulations to Roger Trahan for winning "Steel Guitar Player of the Year" for the Country Music Association of RI on April 30th. I am a sore looser. I played a gig in Tiverton on May 21st, (where he got up and played my steel), and I didn`t think to announce his winning. Back to the quarterly meeting. This same generous gentleman will be tabbing and teaching us "Pedal Patter" at that meeting on June 4th. |

Hey did everyone invite a player to the jam? Anyone practice Pedal Patter?
We'll be planning for the annual show this meeting. Bring your ideas.
Hey Deane C - will we see you and the ShoBud? _________________ RISGA President: GFI SD-10, 1969 Emmmons D-10, Nashville 112, Hilton pedal |

Jim, I just got word about your wife`s serious illness. We will get through the meeting. Don`t worry about that. You have a much higher priority. |

Sunday 6/4/17 President Jim Rice was missed. We pray for his wife. Officers Jo Vierra, Roger Trahan and Peter Hart did a good job officiating over the meeting with speaker phone assistance from Jim. The October show on Saturday the 28th from 3-9pm at the Tiverton, RI VFW is going forward. Elaine Wllis is confirmed on bass and Harry Card is confirmed on drums. We have tentative lead guitar players with one of them yet to be confirmed. A guest band is tentative at this time. Kitchen will be open with fabulous cooks. Now let`s get some steel pickers for a good repeat of last year. Almost forgot, the next quarterly meeting is October 1, 2017 at that same Tiverton VFW 12-4pm. |
