Don't Close Your Eyes, (keith Whitley)

Post by John A. Russell »

Hey all

One last one before I have to stop till after my knee op.

My wife and I, had the privilege of meeting and staying with Dwight & Flo Whitley, Keith's Brother and Sister In Law.

They told my wife and I stories of Keith and we sang Keith's songs together.

So I dedicate this tab to them.

I will only be able to send the tab out today and until Wednesday, after that I will be away from my PC for one week.

Anyone wanting a copy, leave your email address here and I will send it off to you.

Thanks, as always for your support and kind comments. It keeps me tabbing.

I will do David Hartley's "Dreaming My Dreams", as soon as my RKR knee will let me.

Kind Regards

Thank you John for sending me a copy of "Don't Close Your Eyes". I appreciate all your contributions and efforts in the posting of tablature. I know tabbing out tunes can be extremely labor intensive and time consuming. Again thanks for your sharing.

Just did a quick go thru with the tab, the 6 lower caught me a bit off guard as I don't have that on my old Carter. That is what makes this instrument so interesting, can I play this somewhere else so it sounds similar or do I just play over it?. What a great transposition of a wonderful tune. Thanks again John for your stellar work.....have a quick recovery.

John has tabbed out one of my favorite Keith Whitley songs. As always, John's talent has put this song to paper for the PSG and it is a beautiful arrangement. John, thank you; you do amazing work. THANK YOU, Gary

As a new pedal student I very much appreciate the tabs. I don't read music and am fascinated by this monster of a machine. I hope to keep on picking and maybe request some more from you in the future!!!!

Thanks,

Larry
