Buck Owens
I have an old LP with Buck title song is "I've Got a Tiger By Tail" Capitol ST2283. Last song on B side is "Memphis", YES a Chuck Berry song. Was Buck Owens the first country star to record a Chuck Berry?

Re: Buck Owens
No.
Marty Robbins recorded Maybellene in 1955.
Ernest Tubb recorded Thirty Days, circa 1956 or 57.
I'm sure there's more than that.
Pretty sure Conway Twitty recorded some of Chuck's songs, but I'm not sure when they came out.
