Gary Carter - Faded Love Break

Post by Bret Raper »

Here's a recording of "Faded Love" I've recently completed.
I'm doing the fiddles. Gary Carter is playing steel, and he plays a great ride and some terrific fills. Ernie Rowell is doing the vocals.

That is top notch. I love that Eldon Shamblin rhythm guitar.

I'm a fan of Eldon and Gary. They sound great here, as does the fine vocal from Ernie Rowell.
The fiddles are very nice; this is an authentic sounding classic. Really lovely.

Danny Parks is doing the ES style guitar work. He's a great player who frequently subs for Kerry Marx on the Grand Ole Opry staff band.

Yessir! Fine playing by all. I've witnessed Bret's fabulous fiddling on a number of occasions. Good as it gets. Nice work on the recording and mixing too.

Very kind words, Jerry. Always an honor to play with the great steelers from Louisville Metro. The final mix/master was done by none other than steel guitar legend Robby Turner. I'll post some other recordings later where RT is playing. Tone and taste at the highest level.
