| After all the posts on here about Jagwire strings I decided to try them out. So last October I put on two sets, E 9th and C 6 on my Zum. Last weekend I finally broke the first one. To my surprise it was a 2nd on the C neck. The 11.5 third is still on. I used the stainless sets and they still stay tuned good. I normally break a third every 3 to 4 weeks. So now I want to try TT pups and a new set of Jagwires. |

Roger,
Concerning Jagwire strings, I've used both nickel and stainless sets in 10-string E9 and C6 as well as 12-string E9/B6 and I' ll say what others have said: They're all consistantly great strings in which the tone and durability are better than many (if not all) other string brands. As far as stainless vs. nickel tone is concerned, the Jagwire strings seem to be much closer in tone than other brands. Maybe their nickels are brighter, maybe their stainless' are warmer, I dunno. At any rate, they're the only strings I'll use.
Jagwires, ya' can't go wrong with'em!

As a relative new comer to all this, does anyone have a source for the Jagwire strings?
