Zum Steel D10 8+8 $6,400 or trade for right SD10

Post by Terry Brown »

2002 Zum Pedal Steel D10. Plays great and Awesome Tone!! Guitar in as close to new condition as one can be without being new. Beautiful Blue with mother of pearl trim. Case looks great showing very little wear. No Smoke smell so I don't think this steel has been played in a nightclub that allowed smoking. Standard tuning E9 and C6. Just set up and gone over by Mickey Adams. Picture shows Mickey playing it with me at Boot Hill Legendary Nightclub in Gillette Wyoming just after he set it up for me.
I am just getting serious about playing pedal steel and this is to much guitar for me. I am looking for a real nice SD10. I prefer a Zum, Justice, Rittenberry or Mullen G2 but will consider all trades.

Do you have photos in natural light? It appears like tinted stage lighting and it is hard to tell the actual color.

Zum

Terry, you really should consider keeping this beast.. one day you may want to dive into c6, and you'd be pressed to find a nicer, equally loaded guitar. Good luck.

2002 Zum

Post by Terry Brown »

Dustin,
Thanks for the advice but I am 63 years old and not sure how much time I will have for digging into the C6. LOL. I have a little money but am running out of time!
If I get a real nice E9th and get all I can out of it I will be real happy!
But you are right......This Zum is a Cadillac and has it all.

Thanks....

I surely could be wrong but it looks like Bob Brocius' former guitar. Bob had Bruce build it with a custom ordered, "Patriot Blue" mica. It was the first in that color that Bruce ever built.

I know where he sent the guitar when he sold it. This guitar (if it is Bob's former horn and I'm betting it is) was always taken care of in a meticulous way.

Either way, it's a beautiful horn..!! Not a bad thing at all having Mickey work on it either. Best wishes to all involved.

Terry,

Could you please take several photos of the underside and post it here?

Also, is the price without trade fixed? Or will you consider an offer?

Thanks,

Terry, I meant to say in my previous post but failed to say. If not sold already, please let me have the opportunity to try to buy this guitar before selling it if possible. I sure would appreciate the opportunity to see if I can hopefully either trade for or purchase this guitar if possible! I am really interested and know this is an opportunity I don't want to let get away if you will allow me the opportunity! Please email or message me so I make sure I get your response to my post! Thank you! Cris Clark
