Adams square neck resonator
Greetings everyone
Has anybody here ever hear of an Adams dobro or know where I can find information on these instruments?

I have two of James Adams' instruments, a square neck resonator and a square neck flat top. I'm quite happy with them. I got great deals on them. The resonator was an ebay purchase. I know James expected to get more from it, but he never quibbled or complained. I will tell you that it arrived with significant finish checking in the area around the neck joint. Seemed odd in a new instrument, but it played and sounded so nice I never complained. Besides, I wouldn't have wanted to return it. It hasn't been a problem thus far. Mine has the Beard Legend cone. Are you thinking of buying a new one, or are you looking at a used one?
Caveat: I'm no expert on Dobros. I can tell you that mine sounds a whole lot better than the standard Asian imports available at local stores. How it would stand up to the big boys, I can't say for sure, but I don't think it would embarass anyone.

It's bright & the loudest one of the bunch of resonators that I have. Paid almost twice that.
