8 String GOLD TONE ELECTRIC LAP STEEL $425 with Case

Post by JR Ross »

Stays in tune perfectly and in excellent condition with soft shell case..Has no feedback issues like most acoustic Dobro's do. I have used it on stage with my band for about 2 years and never had an issueOnly a few nicks hear and there but overall excellent condition.. Pickup has volume and tone knob controls..

I recently bought one of these off the forum because I wanted to dip my toe into the 8 string pool without spending a ton. Mine is customized slightly with a Jason Lollar PU and the tone knob moved over next to the volume. I'm diggin' it. Don't know what the factory PU sounds like but this one is more potent than I can fully use (playing in my cave). The guitar quality is very nice. A excellent sub $500 8-string IMHO.

Trade?

Post by Bill Hampton »

Would you consider trading your Gold Tone for a double neck Guyatone?

Sorry if you didn't get my reply to you're question about 8 string tuning in G..I think you also asked how I EQ the instrument...If not! Maybe you were the guy asking for a trade and I also replied this needs to be a sale not a trade..For some reason this Forum site is not sending or is blocking my replies even though I do receive your question. either call me 505-553-3985 or email: jrross2@yahoo.com

I apologize for my remark, I assumed you were ignoring my offer for trade.
I've had that problem too JR, not sure why the email doesn't work.
