I NEVER GO AROUND MIRRORS (Instrumental)

Post by John A. Russell »

I Never Go Around Mirrors (Instrumental). This was requested by two steelers. This was not easy to do and not easy to play. It may not be 100% correct, but close.
This old song written by Lefty Frizzel and Whitey Shafer, was sung by the late Keith Whitley. Keith's Brother, Dwight, told me the history of how the song was written, (Two Versions) I met Whitey Shafer and asked him. He gave me a third version! Like the other stuff I've tabbed, write if you want a copy. But I won't be around a PC for a while, after the end of this week.

Thank you John for doing this request that I ask for. I have always liked this song and the way that you and David Hartley did it on the Youtube video. Will start working on the tab this morning. I know it takes your time and again thanks for all you do for the steelers.

John, thanks for all the time and effort you take to help others.
Your tabs are really nice and very easy to follow without all the
the lines and clutter that I find so distracting on other tabs that
I don't even try to use them. Your's are super good. Thanks again.

Many of you who requested this tab have not sent your email address to me at jrussellacms@aol.com
If you send to the address before Sunday, I will send you the tab, no problem. After that I am away from my PC for a while.

Thank you all for your kind words of encouragement.

Daryle Singletary also did a cover of it with Mike Johnson. IMHO next to Lefty's this one is the best. Mike also did an instrumental, Mickey Adams also has
done a version on, how to do the intro. I wish I was able to tab the melody line for you. I have one I figured out in my head. I guess tabbing a song is not my forte', so to speak.
