hey Forumites,
don't know if it was discussed before but
like to know if someone have this franklin change on the LKV and if it works good instead of the 4th pedal?

I had the PF pedal on pedal 4 on the Zum I had.I didn't use it much at all. I think I would have used it a lot more if it had been in the 0 position next to pedal A. My LKV lowers the B's a half which I like.

I have it on my LKV but, I just lower 5&6.
I would probably like it better on a pedal instead of a knee.

I have it to the left of the A pedal....1,Franklin, 2 A, 3 B, 4 C and its great for me.
I also have Lft Knee right the lower of the 6th string a full tone, pretty standard G# to F# and on Left Knee vertical I lower my Bs to As. So I can also lower 5 and 6 a full tone with my knee operating the vertical and LKL together.
I can get the Franklin change with knee or with pedals :-)

yes b0b i don't think i would put it on the LKV, it is a long throw on that.
but for sometimes i hear songs were playing and they use whole tone lowering on 5 and 10
so maybe another trick to get it.

Our friend Boogie lowers 5 & 10 a whole tone on LKV with no problem and lowers 6-- on RKL. This seems to work well for him.
Personally, I can't come up with a suitable 1/2 stop for 5 and 10 using his method and since I use the 1/2 tone lowers all the time, I'm having to forego the whole tone thing.
I had 5,6 and 10 whole tone on LLKL at one time on a Derby, but the travel was just too much for me.
I would prefer all 3 changes on the same floor pedal, but as of now I'm short a pedal! |

thank you guy's.
i already have the 6 string lower from G# to F# on my RKL
so i am think of set or at least tryout to set my LKV for lowering the 5 and 10 a whole tone.

I have this on an extra pedal to the right of the C pedal. My setup looks like this:
1 A B C 4
G# to G Franklin

| Cor, that should be really easy to do. I should think you could just tune 5 and 10 a whole step instead of a half without changing anything on the guitar. That way, you can try it to see if you like it. Good Luck! |

yes Jerry,
this is an easy way to do because i already have the half tone lower on it so i have just set it to whole tone and then see how much the throw is on the vertical

I tried using the Franklin pedal on the floor, but found it works much better for me on LKR
