anyone has an opinion about volum pedals equiped with a magnetic sensor (Hall effect)?
for example:
LEHLE Mono 90 ($250)

ARTEC VPL1 ($60)

Is the TELONICS FP100 ($400) equiped with the same system?

I have an EHX accelerometer/microcontroller based volume pedal which works really well. One big advantage is there is no noticeable tone change typical with pot based pedals. The high impedance input also does not require the use of an additional buffer. The bad of the EHX implementation is the non-standard mechanical housing. If the pedal were in a standard housing it would be fantastic. When time allows I plan to machine a standard housing and transfer the electronic guts.

I live in Germany (where Lehle is made) and none of the major sources have the 90 in stock yet. I do own the standard version, and just today I tested it with my steel. The Lehle is a fantastic pedal. I was concerned that the pivot position would be an issue but the pedal area is large enough for me to find a comfortable spot. It is dead quiet, smooth, and built like a tank. When the 90 becomes generally available here (looks like March or April) I will replace my current pedal - an expensive, well-known pedal used by many on this forum - with the Lehle.
I've dealt with Lehle in the past and Herr Lehle himself went to great trouble to clarify and answer questions about a relatively inexpensive product I had purchased. They provide great customer service.
Keep in mind I am just a weekend warrior, so take my opinion for what it is worth.

Hi,
the MONO VOLUME 90 is our newest addition to the volume series. We introduced it at the NAMM 2017 end of January.
Currently we are in production of the pedals and it seems like they will be shipped to our dealers mid of April. A few weeks later (3-4) they should arrive in the US and of course other parts of the world.
@Steven Husting: danke!
Have a great one
