On the Daryle Singletary song Makeup and faded blue jeans, there is a some great steel, but one lick is perplexing me in particular.
It happens at 1:34.

It is 13 notes player played out of the no pedal position (7th fret B). I hear a number of newer players doing this kind of lick. I almost have it but I'm not quite getting it. Anybody have any clues on this? I've slowed it down and am trying to take it apart, but not got it yet. _________________ "You call that thing a guitar?" |

Thanks for working that out, Dick. Going to bed now, but I'll check it out.
I saw a video of a guy playing it, and he does the super fast part all at the 7th fret, except for a quick slide back 1 on one of the notes. I'll see if I can post that vid.
Thanks _________________ "You call that thing a guitar?" |

Thanks for posting that, Jason. Dick, the lick starts around 0:22 in Jason's video and he does the fast part at fret 7 and briefly fret 6.
Jason- did you figure all these out on your own? Great sleuthing if so! _________________ "You call that thing a guitar?" |

Fred- thanks so much for tabbing that! That is pretty darn close. There should be a B pedal pull off on the 2nd triplet on the 2nd line.
I'm currently trying to burn this into my fingers!
Thanks again to all. _________________ "You call that thing a guitar?" |

Hi Lynn,
Yes, I have a program called Amazing Slowdowner that lets you slow down a song so you can pick out the notes. Thank god for technology! That's how I learn a lot of stuff.
