Emmons PP pedal set, narrow style

Post by Tommy Detamore »

I have a complete set of eight Emmons PP pedals for sale. These are the narrower-style cast spade pedals that fit PP guitars with the narrower pedal spacing of 2 1/8".

These pedals were cut down from wider pedals and I installed them on a late 60's PP that was built as a nine pedal guitar and as such had the narrow pedal spacing. I found that guitar a bit difficult to play as it was with my wide feet :P , so rather than cut down the original pedals I made up this set to give me a little more space between the pedal tops. When Emmons went to the narrower spacing for their standard eight-pedal guitars around 1970 or so, some of the early ones had the pedals with the wider tops. I guess they had a stockpile of those they wanted to use up. So if you happen to have one of those guitars and have trouble with your foot unintentionally grazing an adjacent pedal then this set might be a good alternative to cutting down the original pedals on your guitar.

Two of the screws for the retainer clips are missing but the retainer clips exist as shown in the first and third photos and will be included.

Someone other than me drilled a small hole in the 8th pedal for some reason. It doesn't affect the functionality and could probably be filled to make it less apparent.

The price is $250.00 plus shipping for the whole set. I would rather not sell them individually, as a full set is rather hard to come by.

Jimmy,

For starters can you send me some pix showing the back side of the pedal bar? Once I see that we can swap a few measurements and make sure these will work. Off the top of my head I would guess that 4-8 of this set would give you what you need but we need to make sure.

PM me when you get ready to send the pix and I will send you my email address.

Thanks,

Tommy

Thanks Jimmy.

What I also need to see is the rest of the axle where the new pedals will go.

I don’t think so Dylan. If memory serves I think the Professional has a 2 1/2” pedal spacing (?)
