1967 Emmons S10 Price Drop

Post by David Pinto »

Serial number 1088 S

1967 Emmons cuttail S-10. It has 4 pedals and 3 knees and one knee raise. The pedals are Emmons setup, with the 4th pedal raising strings 1 a whole and string 2 a half tone.

It has a LKL, LKR, LKV, and a RKR. All pretty standard, The LKV lowers 5 a half, and raises 1 a half, which works out pretty well on a push-pull. With pedals down you just get the 7th tone of the chord, as raises trump lowers. With no pedals, you can use them independent of each other. That is the setup.

It will come with a case from a 70's Emmons S-10. The photo shows the original pickup. It now has a Wallace Truetone (just wound, new) wound to 17.5K. The original pickup is included in price, it has a reading of 13.85K.

Chances are it was a C6th steel, as it had 8 pedals, and no knees. The owner before mike diAlesandro had Tommy Cass add three knee levers, and mike added the 4th with parts he bought from Tommy. Mike also added a 1" pedal rod extenders and raised it up to a normal height. So it can be dropped back down quite easily, if you prefer a lower steel height.

This is not a mint rebuilt steel, it is a players guitar that has been reconfigured and cleaned up. It looks good, plays really smooth and has the original decal on it.

$2500 plus shipping. Pm if interested.
