Hi, I am a new member in the UK.I have a MSA 12 string 'Classic' pedal steel. Single on double body with pad. stained green body. When purchased from EBay (USA) the ad read aluminium neck made by Jim Boen of MSA. 3 pedals and 4 knees. How might I find out how old it might be ???The only serial no. I can find is 'Excaliber 2C6016'.I have a problem with the pickup, low end hum,and little response frome the high G sharp string ??If anyone has a MSA pickup that might fit and is for sale, I am going to be in New York next week.Any help would be greatly appriciated.regards STUART

Stuart-If you have the MSA Excaliber model that I tried out at the factory in Dallas back When Chuck Wright worked there, You might have one of the lightweight models. The one I tried was a S14. I would have liked to buy that one.....al

Stuart, you didn't say what gauge string you are using for the G#. A heavier gauge string will sound louder and fuller. A .011, .0115 or .012 should work. A .010 sounds weak and shallow to me.

Hey Stuart, I just saw on e-bay a pair of MSA Super Sustain 12 string pickups. Might be what you are looking for. Good luck with the guitar. Larry J.
