Scarlet Ribbons

Post by John A. Russell »

Hey All

I have had so many beginners ask for tab.
Many want to try something a bit challenging to help
them progress.

I have put together (one more) last one for this year.
The Old Harry Belefonte song,"Scarlet Ribbons".

I have tried to make it simple, yet, with some easy pedal/knee movements.

If anyone wants a copy, PM me your email address to jrsteeler.1@gmail.com

Thanks for all your encouragemnt.

Kind Regards

Thank you once again John. Last weekend my computer crashed and like a dummy I hadn't backed up my latest documents, videos, etc. I had lost four or five of John's tabs so I sent off an email to John asking if he wouldn't mind sending them off to me again. Without any hesitation on his part, the tabs were in my mailbox within a few hours of my request. NOW all is backed up as soon as I receive anything new. For those of us who are rank beginners on this wonderful instrument and can't afford to purchase all of the nice to have items, players like John are a godsend. Thanks again John for all your help. May you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a successful and happy 2017.

John,
I have a question for you.
I've listened to a couple of different presentations of "Scarlet Ribbons" on YouTube and it seems like some of them are done in 4/4 time and some in 3/4 time.
How is your tab written?
Keep up the good work! :D
Thanks,
Erv
