20 degree 1/2" #13 sockets

Post by Gary Rue »

Any 20 degree angle leg sockets out there? I want to kick out the center leg on my laps. Thanks, Gary.

Get ahold of Gary Sill and ask him the angle on his flanges.

Thanks Erv,
I get my sockets from Gary. Great sockets. They are 15 degrees. I want 20 degrees on the center leg because of the narrowness of my guitars. Trying not to have to do yet another prototype. $ !

Gary's flanges are pretty thick, maybe you could grind down one side of the flange to get a greater angle, just a suggestion. :D

Why not

Better yet, I will simply angle the center hole by changing the angle on the drill press table. I should have had a V8 or slept at the right Hotel! Oh well.

The hole is already in the flange, you'll screw up the thread.

You could take the correct size forstner bit and angle the recess in guitar body slightly until you get the desired angle. Harry.

Many things hide between my old ears Gary, never to be found again.

Bob, you can delete this one.Missed the obovious. I can deepen the holes and make angled spacers at any degree I wish.
