Is this something for strings?

Instruments, mechanical issues, copedents, techniques, etc.

Is this something for strings?

I've seen this in a few videos that I have of Dad. It looks round and orange on top. Does anyone have any idea what it is and what it's used for? Maybe it's something for strings? I'm just curious LOL

Ah might be! I never thought of that....I was little when I'd watch him play, so I don't remember much. He didn't have that there everytime he played though.......He did have big fingers, so I think it's possible.

Could it be the box he carried his picks around in?

That little container is unique. From the size of it. It may have been just your dad's little thingy holder. Picks, Tuning wrench, spare Thumb and finger picks and extra nylon tuning nuts. Just a guess.

A lot of his band friends are gone now.....he kept his tools and spare parts in zip pouches and his picks and bars in a plastic container. I guess as Robert Stack said many times, "Perhaps it will remain an unsolved mystery."
