Rex Howard?

Some years ago I was hired to play guitar across Canada with a guy that I used to play with in Anchorage Alaska,He had a Steel Player from somewhere in Canada named Rex Howard who played a 14string Sierra,Very nice guy,was wondering if anyone new whatever became of Rex or if he's still alive?

If I'm not mistaken Rex died a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure that I'm correct but 'll do some checking.

I grew up in Canada and never knew of Rex, I really like his style, wish we had met out on the road somewhere?
I thought Nashville was the roughest, but I know I’ve said the same about them all.
I received my education, drivin through the Nation listenin to Paul!.. ( Franklin that is! )

Done some checking and Rex did die roughly 4 or 5 years back,

Rex has died. He was a friend of mine. The last time I saw him He was playing at a celebration of life for another musician. I played there too. When Rex showed up I carried his steel guitar into the stage, as he couldn't do it anymore.He was a very nice guy.
