I've posted a few things from time to time giving people who are interested in Quilter something to listen to and get some idea of what it sounds like. These were posted to Facebook and some people complained they don't have Facebook so here's a Youtube posting.
The video was shot on an Ipad behind the PA so the vocals are not too good but the steel is out front for the most part.

That video was from last night at the Stagecoach Ballroom.I thought I was having another Kidney Stone attack during the intro to that tune. It went away but came back a little later and caused me a lot of pain.
I will be at the show if nothing keeps me from going. I always get there on Saturday around 11:30 so I can eat lunch.
If you ever play any clubs,let me know and I'll try to come see you.

I love hearing the steel WAY up in the mix!.
Mighty fine playing, and the Quiltaire is very clear and clean, to my taste. |

Dick I love the "take charge/follow me" approach. Great execution and tone. Wow.

The band in the video has relied on me to carry nearly all the melody and fills so I have to be more aggressive than in other bands I've worked in over the years.
The guitar is a Williams w/710 pups and a Quilter Steelaire.

I watched parts of the live broadcast. You sounded awesome the whole night. Even when the camera was pointed at ya! LOL

I saw your comment about missing some rods. If I could only figure out what they were for I'd put'em on.

Thanks so much Mike,I thought those that ask what do Quilters sound like would have something to hear so that was why I posted this.
Kind of a side note (pun intended) Just as we kicked this song off, I was a having what I thought was another kidney Stone attack which finally disappeared after about 10 minutes and reappeared about 30 minutes later and it caused me to stop playing just as I was ending the intro.
I may have asked you this before but around 13 years ago I met a steel player at a place I think was called the Ice House in San Antonio. I was playing with a band called West Of Nowhere and we were in Seguin working on a new CD. I seem to remember his name was Mike but it's been too many years ago.Does that ring a bell with you?
