I just bought a Goodrich low profile L120 that I'm going to use with my MSA Classic D10 8+5.
Should I get the pedal bracket from Goodrich?
Thanks! |

A bracket helps IMMENSELY.
If you get the Goodrich bracket, I'd attach some Dr. Scholl's Moleskin to the pedal bar, as it will scratch the pedal bar over time.
Unfortunately Tony Pryor doesn't remember who made the bracket I bought from him, which grips the bar from the inside. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

I bought a Mullen bracket and it wouldn't fit my Zum. |

I don't use a bracket. I like the ability to move the volume pedal different distances from the pedalboard, depending on stage conditions and my footwear, and none of the brackets made will allow me to do that.
Does my pedal slide or move when I'm using it?
No, so it's a moot point. |

One benefit to having the bracket, is that you won't push the front of the pedal, into the pedal bar. I've got one that Tom Bradshaw sells. It's completely adjustable for height/pedal bar width, and has the soft side of Velcro in the hanger. If you've got a drill, you can make it fit nearly any pedal made. Mine fastens to the pedal with Velcro so that I can remove & store the pedal/bracket into my pacaseat. I've had it for going on 3 years now and hasn't marked up the VP or the pedal bar. _________________ “TONESNOB” |
