Hudson 6-string, ***PLEASE REMOVE - NO INTEREST***

Post by Dave Taylor »

I purchased this guitar new last December (2015) thinking it would be easier to dive into pedal steel with a simpler machine. It was, and I'm glad I did it. Now, I have "moved up" to a standard E9 10 string, and no longer need the Hudson.

The instrument is in excellent condition, and has nice tonal quality.

I also purchased from Hudson a hard shell case which is included.

If interested or for more info, please reply to this post, or call: David Taylor 801-583-0355 (Salt Lake City, UT - MST)

I also purchased my Hudson 6 string guitar last December - lovely Mahogany wood - - always invited me to sit down and practice. Had some tuning issues that Mr. Hudson took care of right away. Also had the guitar made to fit me - it is taller...all at no extra charge.

I now have a 'regular' 10 string 3/4 guitar. It does not fit me and I have the rear legs adjusted to give me an additional 1.5" clearance. So I now play "down hill" - will take time to get used to that.

Not selling my Hudson - have others in the family that may want to start on PSG so I'll let them have it.

Good luck on your sale -- and enjoy your 10 stringer.

Thanks Don

I received an inquiry about the set up of the guitar. It's a "lite' version of a standard E9 tuning with the A and B pedals and the E and F knee levers. The strings are the same as the middle 6 strings of a 10-string version - E,F#,G#,B,E,G# (low to high).

I purchased this guitar after visiting Troy Brenningmeyer's web site:

https://www.lessonswithtroy.com/Hudson- ... dal-Steel/

He has a free video on the set up, tuning, and other great info. He also has some basic, but very informative lessons on playing this instrument (which, of course can be transferred to the 10-string).

Check it out.
