It's been so long since I selected the pickup (after trying out about 6 or 7 alternatives) that I haven't even thought about it in years and I can't recall what it's called anymore! But here's a pic; I'm sure you'll recognize it -- and when you do, remind me!

That pickup looks like a Telonics or a Tone Aligner. (Hi Jim.)

One of the great features of the Millennium (and the Legend and Studio Pro,) is the modular pickup system that lets us change pickups instantly and compare them. I think every builder should license the MSA system and incorporate it into their guitars.
I compared the Tone Aligner and the Telonics, and found them to be very different sounding. As a matter of personal taste, I preferred the Telonics.
I also have an Alumitone, which I like very much. I now have the Alumitone in one guitar and the Telonics in the other.
