All Franklins use aluminum bellcranks/rod pullers, and aluminum rods. The bellcranks/rod pullers must be installed by being slipped over the end of the cross shaft in question; i. e., one end of the cross shaft must be made accessible.
The cranks/pullers come in two varieties; the shorter ones have 4 slots, the longer ones, more typical, have 6 slots. The cranks/pullers are held to the cross shaft by a set screw. The cross shafts are round with a flat; the set screw meets the flat surface.
