BMI S10 3by4

Post by Lyle Clary »

Have a chance to buy a used BMI S10 3by4 with a Goodrich light pedal. Neither I know nor the seller knows what it is worth. He said make me an offer. What would be a fair offer for both us. It is a black formica and seems to be in good shape. Anyone know how old it might be. I think the serial number is 386. Thanks.

I have an S-10 ser # 1024 that I bought new in 1983. But I have no idea of annual or monthly production numbers so that doesn't help you much. If I were to looking to sell it (I'm not) I'd ask from $700--900 depending on if I were looking for cash or looking to cut someone a nice deal---in other words depending on what kind of day I was having, I guess.

I recently bought one of these (S-10, 3+4, sounds just like yours, serial number very close to Jon's) with a Goodrich volume pedal for $700. Keep in mind, however, that this needed quite a bit of setup and one lever was just flapping in the breeze. It turned out not to be hard to work on, and after a couple of days of tinkering, I was very happy with it. I think these are a great deal on the used market, many others say the same.
