RIP Chet Wilcox

Post by Don Hinkle »

I'm not sure who may or may not know about this but Chet Wilcox passed away on June 4, 2016. Many people on the form knew and loved Chet. He love to build guitars and he showed me most everything about how he built his guitars. Chet was a very kind man and was a great gentleman to get to know.
He is now at peace in the loving arms of the love of his life Laura, who passed away last year.

Sad News! Chet was as honest as they came. I remember borrowing a mini-lathe from a friend for Chet to use back in the late 80's. I was out of town when Chet got done using it and he jumped through hoops to get the lathe returned to the owner. RIP Chet!

I'm really sad to learn of Chet's passing. He was wonderful to me ! Chet went out of his way to help me out as a virtually unknown player and always dealt with me fairly. The two Wilcox guitars that I owned had the "it" factor. I will miss him and his instruments.
