Stunning G2 D10 Red Lacquer 9x8 - $5500
Up for sale is my Mullen Custom D10 Lacquer G2. The guitar was built in 2013. It has stayed in my living room always, next to the piano, never gigged out. It’s in dead mint condition. It has 1-piece key-heads, full polish package, 9 pedals x 8 levers. The body is custom hard-rock maple top (no figure) for tone and stability, the front and rear aprons are flame maple. The finish is a deep, red sunburst. Not flashy, just pure class. The trim inlay is one-of-a-kind. It is actually the Mullen custom painted grey marble mica, then lacquered, instead of the standard pearl inlay. It offsets the red burst with amazing contrast and ties in the chrome end-plates with style. To my knowledge, it is the only G2 to have this inlay in a lacquered cabinet. Del described it as the most beautiful steel he had ever built, and offered to keep it in his basement for me. The undercarriage is as clean as it gets.
The copedent is pretty much standard Emmons, but I will be happy to modify it to the buyers needs if desired. The tone is not laser-focused like most mica G2’s I’ve heard. It's very, very sweet, resonant and mello with warm lows.
This guitar would cost $7000 from the Mullen factory, and is worth every penny.
I am offering at $5500 and free shipping to the cont. US. PM or Email me at tuned2eflat@yahoo.com

Hi Dustin: Very nice Mullen. I have been looking forward to getting a newer Mullen and yours looked like a good one to get, but unfortunately, the price is more than I can stand being as I am 92 years old and just play at home for my enjoyment. It is the right color because I have a Mullen the same color. Mine was built in early 2005 to maybe 2008. Not sure.Wish I could get it. Very Nice. Louis

Very purty G2 Dustin. Just curious, what does laser- focused mean? Didnt i buy a Rains guitar from you many years ago?

Laser Focused
Hi Terry,
How is the Rains? I would explain laser-focused like playing a maple-top acoustic guitar, not much harmonics. This steel plays more like a mahogany top guitar, with better overtones.

Hey Dustin
I sold the Rains years ago, nice guitar though. I have a Zum, and a mullen now. I agree with Paul, Dustin is a great man to deal with. Good luck on the sale.[/i]

One question here my friend. Pedal#-1 is lowering the 8th string E to a C#. Is this to get the 9th string D to C# note or something else? Thanks.

Pedal 1
Billy,
I have been experimenting with different changes for pedal 1. Mainly the change is for getting inverse of the "A" pedal change using strings 8, 6 & 5 by lowering 8 to the 6th note, rather than raising strIng 5 to the 6th note. Yields a minor 9th...
