Mullen IN THAILAND Sunburst D-10 8x8 case
D-10 Mullen for sale IN THAILAND The 8 pedals + 8 levers have a soft feel when engaged and the tuning is precise. The color is a coffee & yellow sunburst.
The serial nuber is 2457; it was built in Dec 1992 and previously belonged to Wayne Pauley (or Wayne Pauly).
It has been played very little since i've parked it inThailand as I don't get there that often, about one month per year and it stays at home even when I'm in Thailand.
There are some bar dings between the neck but no gouges in the body. Mechanically sound. Case is in near mint condition.
1-8 pedals are standard Emmons for both E9 and C6
E9th
KLK 4th and 8th +1/2
LKR 2nd & 6th -1/2
LKV 5th -1/2
RKR 2nd -1/2 & -1 also 9th -1/2
RKL 4th and 8th -1/2
2nd KLK 5th -1/2 & 10th - 1
Notice on the E9th there are two levers that drop the 2nd string, one is a half tone drop and the other is a half tone and full tone drop
C6th
LKR 5th -1 & 10 +1
LKL 4th & 8th - 1/2
RKR 4th +1/2
RKL 3rd -1/2
LKV 3rd -1
. Several of these photos show the Mullen using a flash which makes them too light looking and does not show off the sunburst very well
Price USA $ 3200 Thanks, stevet

Damir, thanks for the little blue guys and their stunned looks. 😎
John, sorry no work visa but if you are old enough you can get a no-hassle visa from the Thai government. Almost looks like a passport and says you can stay if you meet the age requirement and have a certain amount of dough in the bank.
Seriously, they are looking for stable and older folks who will spend money while living there. Quite a few Scandnavians have them and show up in the winter months
Luke, check your Forum PM s. I answered your questions about this Mullen.
Thanks guys,
stevet

Selling in Thailand
Hi Steve,
Not too many players there in Thailand.
In Bankok there are some very good luthiers who I have known for many years.
Here is a contact for the best luthier (Nick name Nid) who teaches many other builders.
His wife, Pon speaks english but Nid only very little english skill.
They work in a shop above a church in the center of Bangkok;
Viroon Songbundit
356 Sriayudya Road
Payathai, Rajthevi
Bangkok 10400
Thailand
Pon’s Phone Number; 66-081-2745103
e-Mail; guitarmaker_nid@yahoo.co.th
They may know someone interested in a steel if you copy them with a link to the sale.
I only know of two players in Thailand and just me in Saigon.
Not sure if any in Cambodia.
Good luck selling that nice steel.
Andy

Hello, Jerry Maranville,
What a surprise as it's been 15 or so years i saw you last inBeijing. Believe it or not, we are still here in Beijing going on our 21st year and still enjoying it. Don't get to many Forum folks dropping in but Jim Smith recently was here on a China tour. Unfortunately, they had him busy the few days he was in Beijing and we could not connect.
Earnest Bovine is supposed to be playing with a Canadian group in seven cities in
China in December so I hope to see them perform.
How is your playing and everything else going? Thanks for dropping in. steve

Steve. We still remember Beijing fondly. I am retired from university work and returned to my roots in Colorado. Played briefly with a local group but now mostly studio work with my son who has a recording studio In Lincoln. Mostly pop music with a few steel licks thrown in now and then. Oh the younger generation.

To bad I didn't know the out come of the Vietnam War, I'd have just taken my steel instead of an M-16. The end would have been the same. Won every battle, but lost the war. Lost over 58,000 young men for nothing, now we're playing music for them. No wonder we have PTSD.

Jerry,
I'm happy you are still playing; I'm sure that its more than a few licks thrown in to those pop songs. So glad you stopped in all those years ago. I'm playing in a band with four other teachers I've know since 1997 who still work at the International School of Beijing. The Irish guitarist writes his own songs and they are good. Of course I may be biased Lots of fun.
Jim, I hear you and think you'd get a lot of agreement with what you said. Hope you are also still playing pedal steel guitar.

Steve, I meant nothing against the Vietnamese people, it was our own government that did it to us, as the one we're in now. It just hurts every once in awhile. I didn't play steel when I went to Nam, but have taken it up since (1985) and I still can't play the darn thing. I have three maybe someday it will light up. I hope cause I'm getting old.
