Why do the New Rittenberrys have exposed end plate screws?

I notice that the new Rittenberry Prestige has external endplate screws unlike the older Ritts? I must say I welcome the exposed look. Reminds me of a show bud or Show pro. What do you think?

Sustain, tone....

Hi guys,
Gary told me the new endplate design was chosen to increase the sustain on the guitar. If you look underneath you will note that the cross shafts are stainless steel (not the typical hex aluminum)and everything is metal to metal contact. It is all be design to increase the sustain & lively response of the guitar. My Prestige is in many ways similar to my two Emmons push/pulls. Both are lively with "punch" and if you grab a leg and strum the strings you can feel the vibrations down the leg. LIVELY!

In all, the design looks bone simple & somewhat old school - but it really works.

Mine feels the same way, Jim. I can strum it acoustically and feel vibrations anywhere on either apron and on all four legs. Gary's the man.

I notice the Prestige model has twin blade bell cranks. Didn't prior models have single blade bell cranks? Why the change, if that's factual?

Wondered that myself... I have the Prototype and it has single blade belcranks
