Anyone have any idea where Big Jim Murphy's "Bethel" might be living? I know he has a brother "Wally" and wondered if he had it. Was his the only one with that Pot Leaf on the front? Did he order it that way? Cool guitar, great player!! Saw him only once at the Lone Star Café (I think) in NYC.

I played that guitar for a few hours when it was back at the "factory" having some changes made. Jim described it as a Sho-Bud on steroids. Very smooth mechanics. I was going to have Dick Miller make me one out of some real nice birdseye he had stashed away but decided to go anohter direction instead. What a gracious host Dick was to let me spend half a day hanging around with him and Jerry Fessenden. Very nice guitars!

One of his kids each got a steel of Jim's
and none wanted to sell at the time they got them

So we can only hope they're being enjoyed
