Heavy Duty Steel Seat?

Post by Jay Kardong »

I'm trying to find a steel seat that's more flight appropriate than most I've seen (meaning more ATA standards).

Who makes one with better clamps and such? Any pointers is appreciated.

Have you tried asking Dan or Joe?
I'll bet that they'll crank up their router and use stouter hardware for some extra cash
2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

The other alternative is to get a lightweight one that will fit in the overhead locker on a plane :-}

Walker Seat

I have a Walker seat with a backrest. I put a luggage strap around mine. No problems. Mine went with me to Ireland.
