Tom Killen's New Sho~Bud Finished
Ok Lloyd had Tom call me months ago; and Tom called wanting to find a Sho~bud from the same era that Lloyd's LDG was made, for that particular Sho~bud sound we know so well. Tom wants that sound and wants that sound on the stage with George Jones; who Tom has played with for years and years. Ok my job was to find one(barrel tuning behind pullers; big body Sho-bud..ha) and I did and just finished this whole project and it is ONE AWESOME sounding Sho-bud. When Tom gets it next week; he will freak and now we will have a SHO~BUD on the George Jones Stage> Mission accomplished; here it is.
Tom is one of the nicest Gentleman I've ever met and so ya'll get out and see this Sho-bud underneath Tom's hands with George Jones real soon.

Beautiful job Ricky !! And you're so right, Tom is just such a great guy. I know that he's close friends with Lloyd so this guitar will mean alot to him.
Although I've been playing Emmons Guitars since 1974 and ZumSteels since 1982 (still have a few of each and love 'em) seeing this horn here reminds me of the Pro II I had in the early 70s. I agree with many folks in that they were the best sounding of all Sho-Buds. Seeing your work here in this post makes me wish I still had that 'ol Bud hanging around as well.
Thanks for sharing.

Ricky-Just another beautiful job on a great guitar. My 6 pedal 5 knee lever Sho-Bud Pro-1 has the same pulling system and it sounds great, but still could use some of that Ricky Davis Magic.......al
