I've got the same steel and the same pup. That's quite a pair you've got and the black top is classy like a piano.
Is this gong to be your take-about instrument? |

Karl, this is Just for practice at times so as not to haul my Franklin all the time. I could not just use it because I also love playing the C6th and would miss it. The Zum is easier to take to my weekly Practice with my Friends on Wed. I don't do much playing out on jobs anymore. My choice because Playing for over 35 years out I just got tired of hauling heavy equipment so the Zum is something that is my treat for playing so long I guess ..Great little Guitar.RS _________________ Franklin D10 Stereo - 8 and 6 - Black Box-Zum Encore 4 and 5 Nashville 400,Session 400, DD3 for delay ,also Benado Effects pedal.

I see.
The Encore is nice, but I was wondering why you were purchasing it if you already had a Franklin. Certainly makes sense to have a lighter steel for practice nights. |

I have a StageOne- the precursor to the Encore and It is a great grab-n-go option to my ZumSteel U12. So good in fact that I have done recording dates with it, not just rehearsals.
I hope you enjoy your Encore as much! |

Hi Ron and Dave:
If you see this note, how long of a wait did you have to have your Zums built?
Or anyone, how long is the wait time now?
I figure if it a while, I have time to raise needed $$$.
Thanks

A couple months, maybe a little more but well worth the wait.RS _________________ Franklin D10 Stereo - 8 and 6 - Black Box-Zum Encore 4 and 5 Nashville 400,Session 400, DD3 for delay ,also Benado Effects pedal.

Okay thanks Ron.
By the sounds of it, Doug must really be busy, I am picturing several dozens or more of orders stacked up.

Ron from your picture with the Zumsteel and Franklin, is the stance nearly the same regarding the legs to and fro?
My first steel was a S-10. It's stance was pretty narrow and the guitar could tend to rock to and fro easily, especially on carpet.
How about side to side wiggle as one uses the knee levers? Pretty solid too?
Thanks Dick |

Holds upright very good and nothing is different with movement. They are not as wide from end to end as my Franklin. I see no problems with it so far and I have played it alot since I got it. Sound is great with the Humbucking Pickup. The cosmetics are not the standard of the More pricey guitars like the Zum, Franklin, Ect, but the money is less too.I would gladly endorse these guitars if ask, and the builder is a great person to deal with. That is a nice looking guitar ! I sure love my Stage One and an Encore might be in my future The Stage One has a great sound to my ears, and I am sure the Encore is as good and probably better. _________________ Zum Encore, Remington D8 non pedal, Hallmark Mosrite clone, Gretsch 6120 DSW, Gretsch G5210T-P90 Electromatic Jet Two 90,1976 Ibanez L5, Eastman archtop, Taylor Dreadnaught, Telonics pedal, Squire Tele, Squire Strat, Fender Tonemaster, Gold Tone 5 string banjo, Little Wonder tenor banjo, 3 Roland cubes 30s and 80, Carvin combo bass amp |
