This song by Sunny Sweeney and Brennen Leigh is gorgeous, intelligent lyrics and sweet sounding instrumentation! But who might be the steel player - Mike Johnson, Paul Franklin, Steve Hinson?

Can't answer your question, but it's a pretty song.

Sounds very Tommy Detamore-ish; production and steel.(and very Texan Steel Player-ish)
I'm just guessing...I texted Brennen a few minutes ago...we'll see.

Ok I just talked to Sunny and Tommy as they are on the road together right now. Yes it is Tommy Detamore produced and the steel and dobro is him..

Big Sunny fan here, she's a real sweetheart of a gal. I did a sub gig or two with her before she hit the 'big time', and she is a hoot to work with. That cut above is from her first record, Heartbreaker's Hall of Fame, also produced and engineered by Tommy. As usual, he kills it, great playing.. As Ricky can attest, Tommy has single-handedly created a real hot-spot for recording traditional country at his studio in Floresville Texas.

The whole record is here:

Ricky beat me too it ! I just sent a note to Noel and Brennan. I was thinking it might be James Shelton or Tommy.

Tommy plays guitar on that tune also. I was just talking with him. He learned how to play steel from Buddy Charleton.
