Ricky, can you post a close-up shot of the the underside in the pedal rod connection area. I'd like to see some better detail where the pedal rods connect to the cross bars and of the bell cranks.
I have an older Marrs S-10. I noticed that it didn't have any helper/return springs on the cross bars like my Mullen does, so I added some...

Thank you my good friend Ricky. I try to be as particular as you are, and as you know from our recent visits I take my work very,very seriously. To the point of insanity. It is good have you out there. This guitar turned out especially beautiful. Craig made a great color scheme choice and I really worked hard to please him on this one. It was a real disaster when I got and didn't have much to work with. I'm sure I fall short of Ricky's mark, but, I'm sure any Sho-Bud enthusist would love to own this. I have another one just like it in a double neck available soon. The necks are royal blue also. I'll have the Jernigan Super Pro started soon and will get Ricky to post photo's. The lost end-plates have made this a real chore. We located new ones, but, it has taken hours to fit, with much milling and filing. They look great since receiving them from Bud's.
I have an interesting Bouton restoration coming a little later. It was probably the first ProIII proto-type. It is an old professional with aluminum necks. It is finished in sunburst with a really cool and different inlay not many Sho-Bud's had. More to come on that later. Thanks again Ricky. |

Duane and Jeff. Each one of these beauties that get posted make my wait "more meaningful", instead of harder. This from a guy that doesn't have a patient bone in my body .
Doug Jones and I were talking not too long ago, and he relayed how Jeff had said my Prof basket weave inlay cabinet had turned out really nice. We brought up the subject of "food coloring", and how some of the older Buds used to have it in some of the the colors.
These Blue Guitars and the blue youse guys use in them are sure not food coloring.
Is it to late to change my color?
(JUST KIDDING!!)

Another GREAT YEAR for Sho~Buds. The Best years might have been after they closed their doors. In a way it's a shame, but in a way, it's best the way it is.

| You guys think there'll ever be an ugly Sho-Bud turn up? Is ANY guitar as pretty as an old 'Bud, especially after guys like Ricky do their stuff on the finish? Makes it (almost) worth carrying the heavy sucker around! |

| As everyone can see the quality of retrofits coming out of Duane Marrs and Jeff Surratt is impeccable. The mechanics on these guitars are a far cry from the old Sho-Bud mechanics. They are precision playing instruments with killer looks and tone. I highly recomend anyone with an old Sho-Bud to consider the Marrs retrofit. They are serious instruments. |

wow. beautiful pics. now I wonder if my old Sho needs a tune up. my under carriage doesnt look as clean as that!
