I am working on a possible gear swap that would land me a mid-70s silver face Fender amp made for overseas distribution. It has the built-in voltage selector on the back that was common for the day and with the minimum voltage of 117.
Are there any reasons to be concerned about running this amp in the U.S. and, in either case, are there 'do's and don'ts' about use or maintenance of these amps? |

I've had that particular model of SFDR for years, left the voltage rheostat set on minimum (marked as 117) and never had any problems. |

Hi Chris
It should be fine as long as you have it switched to your local voltage 115/117 Volts _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

Thanks, guys. Anything I need to do differently as far as either inspection or maintenance because of the voltage conversion? |
