Can anyone tell me anything about this pickup? I got it from Mr. Phil Bender in Palmetto, FL who told me that Rick Aiello made it for him. It's an 8 string pickup with metal wrapped over the top to resemble a horseshoe type pickup. I messaged Rick but not gotten an answer so far. It measures 22k on my meter (assuming I have the right scale).

That's my "Potbelly" pickup ... It's a neodymium based unit ... 38 AWG magnet wire ... Blade style ... Around 2 k Ohm
A very powerful unit ... |

I put one in my buddy Dave Giegerich's Sierra ... A couple years before he passed ...
I was lucky enough to hear him play it at Baltimore's Inner Harbor with his "Hula Monsters" band ...

I sure miss Dave ... |

Rick, how far above the bobbin should the strings be? _________________ 2022 Brook Lyn, 2014 Martin 000-18, 2022 Ibanez GB-10, two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, understanding wife of 49 years. 'Steeless' at the moment |
