A great to to play standing with my Asher lap or the Strat-O-Lap...a Stand-up Guitar Stand. Works great.

I looked at some symbol stand and thought it would a great steel stand. How about some more pictures etc.

The stand I found is no longer made the store thought. It is like this one...and had been in the store for years. I got mine for a steal. No charge for the pun guys...

I will take some more pictures of mine tomorrow. The one I have seems to be much more heavy, and very sturdy.

His is a Gracie stand. Much stouter and getting very hard to find.

I like the look of a steel guitar stand like this -- similar to the antique 3-legged steel guitar stands, but sturdier (and not rusty).

I'm a little unclear on how the guitar is secured onto this stand. The stock hardware looks like it is intended to position a guitar on edge, as you would normally hold an acoustic guitar to strum it. Can it securely hold a steel guitar flat?

The instrument fits in the frame & is held in place by the clamps, which are hand tightened.
