WTB Steel Guitar Effects rack.

What effects should I get for this rack?

For taking it to GIGS, rack size should be limited to

what U size weight?

it might be wiser to start with a stomp box or two until you gain more knowledge about what you need.
start with a simple digital delay.

Rather than limit your self to just an effects rack, I would go the whole way and have a rack large enough to house a preamp, amp and maybe a voltage regulator.

I used to like lots of toys. I'd now say a rack rig should have:
A Brad Sarno preamp (his tube stuff just sounds GOOD).
A good reverb (or perhaps the Lexicon MPX100, good reverb plus other effects)
A class D power amp (Class D is lightweight and just one space)

I have a 6 space heavy duty road rack, all set up to sit alongside a steel. Has a Korg DT-1 tuner and Trip-lite power bar installed, lots of ins and outs and professional quality wiring. I'll let it go for $150 pls shipping.. Message me if you're interested.
