Re: Promat guitars
I would say that is because of an abundance of Emmons originals stateside. Sounds purty though.Damir Besic wrote:yes, not many definitely, I know there is only six in US, but was wondering where are they at... and would also like to know who plays Promat in Europe as well...Paul Wade wrote:no Promat guitars here in the usa

after foolishly selling my last maple/mahogany Promat, I finally got the chance thanks to a forum friend, to own another one of these super rare guitars... it is 2004 D10 Promat originally built for Gary Sill I believe ... guitar was built in Sep.2004 and delivered to Mr.Sill in 2005 ... these were around $6,500.00 plus shipping and insurance to US which is over $800.00 and then import duty of course... this guitar is on her way to my friend Henry Matthews in Texarkana for a complete set up, adjustment and service ... I will post some more pictures as soon as I have her here with me...

I thought about removing it, but its fastened with screws, and that would leave some screw holes ... I think I'll just leave it the way it is for right now... two tuners are not installed, but they are coming with guitar... why they were removed beats me ... pedal rod for the 8th pedal is included, just wasn't hooked up for the picture... in any case, this guitar will undergo a complete service, and it will be like new once Henry gets done with her...

thank you my friend, there is only a handful of these guitars ever made, I believe 27, and only 6 or 7 are in US , and only one S10 ... this guitar was made using 20+ year old hard naturally dried maple in 2004 , so the wood in this instrument is now over 30 years old... and the tone of these guitars is absolutely fantastic.... there is a few posts on the forum about Promat, if you want to search for some more info...

yes, and he sold his for unbelievable $2500 ... and then , if I believe correctly, buyer complained guitar was dirty, and pick up was not straight or something lol ... it was $7000 guitar ... however, that will not happened again... this one wont be selling nowhere close to $2500 if at all ... Adam wanted to buy it back, but it sold in like an hour after ad got posted ....
