Glad you're getting her back... Here's my UPS story..
A few years back I was shipping a nice Les Paul to my grandson in SoCal for his 16th birthday... Needless to say it arrived from Virginia to San Pedro with the headstock broken off the guitar... They said they wouldn't cover the full cost of the guitar and wanted to inspect it... I'd made arrangements with Steve Soest guitar repair to go ahead and fix the guitar and they were supposed to call me when the inspection was done. In the meantime, UPS picked it up for inspection and about a week later the damn thing showed up back here in Virginia.. I was hostile by then. Anyway I took it to my local guitar tech who repaired it flawlessly and I shipped it back to SoCal by US Parcel Post at my local PO and it showed up about 3 or 4 days later at my grandson's house without a scratch... I'll never ship anything UPS again..........JH in Va.
Don't matter who's in Austin (or anywhere else) Ralph Mooney is still the king!!!

I guess I don't see the basis upon which UPS claimed they would pay $100 before things finally were settled.
I continue to try to use USPS whenever possible even over FED-EX. stevet

She made it to me at 10:45am today. Thanks for the concern, and glad there was happy ending! Love that Blonde Sierra a lot, now time to add the other 2 knee levers.

I received the Sierra on Tuesday at 10:45am. 4 weeks late, and after a stint in Kansas City lost and found. She is a sweet guitar, and looking forward to playing her for many years to come. Would like to thank everyone for keeping an eye out, and for the concern. Lynn and I are both very relived:) thanks again, Adam
